Katie gets her teeth into the data

For all my food and drink marketing friends, here's a high-speed blitz on where you should be focusing your plans and time right now.

🚀 TikTok Takes the Crown: In terms of engagement, TikTok reigns supreme! With an impressive average engagement rate of 4.25% (measured by followers) and 5.10% (measured by views), TikTok continues to give us the best returns.

⬇️ Instagram's Declining Engagement: While Instagram continues to be a popular choice, it's essential to note that its average engagement rate has been on a gradual decline, currently standing at 0.60%. Keep focusing your efforts on  Reels, which generate double the engagement compared to other post formats.

👍 Facebook's Steady Presence: Facebook maintains its presence in the social media sphere, despite a lower average engagement rate of 0.15%. While it may not boast the highest engagement figures, it's still an integral part of a well-rounded social media strategy.

Now for the good stuff!

🥤 Food and drink are the best-performing industries on social!! 💥

  • FMCG beverages perform the best out of all industries with an impressive engagement rate of 7.69%, closely followed by food at 6.92% on Tiktok

  • Instagram shines with FMCG food leading the pack at an engagement rate of 0.96%.

  • Facebook and Twitter, while lagging behind in engagement, still offer opportunities, with rates of 0.42% and 0.08%, respectively.

🏡 Home & Lifestyle- Tiktok outshines Insta 😮

  • TikTok once again takes the spotlight, delivering a remarkable engagement rate of 4.75%.

  • Surprisingly, Instagram falls behind with a 0.49% engagement rate, and Facebook trails further with a mere 0.16% engagement rate.
