When we first heard about this project last year we were super excited. A dream Seed branding opportunity, premium, sleek and bang on-trend. Already this month we have seen two national articles about its many health benefits.

This single-origin oil uses 100% organic and certified fair trade black seeds from the Nigella Sativa plant,  grown in Egypt. The seeds are cold-pressed to retain flavour, aroma and nutritional value. It is a perfect addition to salads and smoothies, and with its smooth aromatic taste, it can also be enjoyed straight from the spoon as a daily supplement.

Black seeds have been used for over 2000 years, mainly in the Middle East as a natural remedy for numerous conditions with over 800 research papers looking at its benefits. It is known to improve sleep, boost the immune system and contribute to weight management. Black seed oil is rich in antioxidants as well as thymoquinone, which has both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

The Morris of London brand Founder Zarina Morris is passionate about the many benefits of black seed oil. From an early age, her mother shared it with her and such was her passion for its wellbeing properties she decided to produce her own.  Zarina travelled the world to find the best quality seeds from which to make her cold-pressed oil. Crucial to her was to tread lightly and give back to her producers. She is proud to bring to UK consumers the first fair trade black seed oil.

Zarina comments, “Morris of London is a dream realised. I wanted to bring to market a conscious brand that treads lightly, sourcing only the highest quality products that offer benefits to our busy modern lives. My culinary oil is the first product to launch, and I hope to follow this with other black seed products in the future. Its popularity in America is growing, and I wanted to make it more accessible in the UK."

The oil’s sleek gloss black bottle, with delicate gold foiling, echoes the calibre of this well-sourced and produced oil. It’s high-end look makes it the perfect addition to any kitchen counter. The 250ml bottle will retail at £24.99, for sales enquiries contact Zarina Morris 07581 156 431.
